Cast iron pan for 7 round pancakes like pancakes or blinis.

Cast iron pans are one of the few types of pans that show better properties the longer they are used.

To keep a cast iron skillet in top condition, you should follow a few rules of use:
Wash cast iron pans by hand and wipe them dry immediately after washing. Do not soak or wash in the dishwasher.
The appearance of rust is a natural process. Rust can be removed during washing with a rust remover.
Before frying, the pan should be well heated and then thoroughly greased with oil or clarified butter. Season the pan once every few months to maintain its non-stick properties.

How to season a cast iron pan?

KitchenCraft cast iron pan before the first use should be washed with warm water and liquid and wiped dry. The pan also needs to be seasoned - how to do it?
  1. Using a soft cloth, rub the entire pan, including the bottom and handle, with a thick layer of edible oil, preferably canola oil.
  2. Place the pan upside down in an oven preheated to maximum temperature (+/- 250 °C).
  3. Place a baking tray under the pan on which the fat from the pan will drip. Leave the cast iron skillet in the oven for about 1 hour.
Note: During seasoning, the cast iron pan may smoke heavily - this is a natural process. It is important to make sure that there is adequate ventilation in the room. Remember that the handle of the pan heats up. A protective oven mitt will come in handy when frying and handling.
